Senior Facilitator and Core Design Team | Founder of iChangeCourse, Founder/CEO of Aveson, and Facilitator and Coach for the Mindful Leaders Project

Kate is a Senior Facilitator and a core member of our design team at Day Six Leadership. Kate Bean brings strong executive leadership skills from her 16 years as CEO of Aveson, a non-profit organization she founded to manage charter schools and lead a national movement challenging traditional K-12 education. As a facilitator and coach for the Mindful Leaders Project, Kate guided educational leaders to “be the thermostat, not the thermometer”.

Through her company iChangeCourse, Kate advises senior level executives on the power of choice in moments of change. In her book, “I Change Course: A Journey to My Truth”, Kate captures the lessons she learned while traveling the country in her converted cargo van documenting stories of shared values, resilience and the power of connection. As a speaker, Kate shares her guideposts for embracing change and noticing the extraordinary in every ordinary moment.
